Ok, as I'm just back I will answer my own questions.

The hotel does have a policy regarding wearing of long trousers in the dining room in the evening but thankfully it is totally ignored.

Yes there are several wifi areas with free WIFI access. although the network appears as unsecured the first time you connect to their network and open a web browser you will be taken to a screen asking for a user name and password, just ask at reception and they will be happy to give you one.

Yes there are hairdriers in the room.
