Personally, I don't believe there's any need at all to buy in UK and ship over here. There are plenty of furniture shops on the island selling all kinds of different types of furniture. Why pay for all the shipping?

You should have no fears about deliveries. Just walk into any store and you should get what you buy delivered within a day or so. 2 weeks will be ample time, although remember that ordering anything that isn't on the island is likely to take weeks.

Hi

We have a house on La Goleta and used Home from Home Canaries to furnish it - we fixed a budget and the results were fantastic. Highly recommend them - they are based in Fuerteventura but may now have an office in Lanzarote.

Good luck

Thanks for that Lynne,

I have already been to see Home From Home and they seemed to be pretty good. I'm just a little unsure about someone else buying furniture for me I think. Particularily as its for my own use. But I'm still thinking that option over :)

Hi

Know what you mean but our house is for our own use too and the quality and style were perfect, as I would pick myself. We also were reluctant at the start wondering if it was the right thing to do, but worked out well in the end. Ikea is opening in Lanzarote - not sure when - that might be something to look at too.
