One of my favourite resorts.

I was introduced to La Carihuela after reading many posts from forum member Sanji who was & still is, a regular there. What a gem of a place.

What I love most about is the traffic free promenade that stretches for miles, along the beautiful sandy beach dotted every few yards with Chiringuitos (beach restaurants). Where they cook fresh fish in open fires on their terraces.

It's a family friendly resort & also suited to couples. You don't see many, if any, crowds of teenagers. Probably because the resort is fairly quiet of an evening.

Days are spent on the beach or walking along the prom mooching round the little shops. You can walk around the headland into Torremolinos or, in the other direction, Benalmadena.

Evenings, as I've mentioned are fairly laid back. Nice meal, few drinks & a good people watch!
