Morning all
My self and 13-16 of my friends are looking to book a last minute long haul lads holiday, and it's been put on my sholders to determine the destination . We have found 2 weeks in goa for £352,and as i have been there 3 times before with my wife am swaying toward a fortnight of kingfisher gluttony.
My only cause's for concern are.
A.) The weather,i have been reading a few scarey posts both on here and another forum about the weather at the moment.
B.) As i said i have been there before and loved it,but a dozen or so lads unwinding and generaly drinking all day might become boring after 2 weeks,as we are(well most of us) a sunday football team, are there any teams over there to have a friendly against, also any other sudgestions on how to fill days will be more than welcome.
I need to book today realy,so without wanting to rush you I need info NOW !!
No probs with the weather at the moment, it seems to be back to normal....very hot and sunny!!!
You don't say which part of Goa you'll be staying but wherever it is you're bound to be able to arrange the odd football or cricket match against a team of locals.....usually the taxi drivers or shack lads are a good bet. Apart from that there's the Go Karting tracks (1 up North and 1 down South). Fishing trips, diving, elephant riding. Anjuna Market is good on a Wednesday - not just for shopping but as a venue to watch Live bands, you could have a go at watersports, hire bikes and go off exploring, play golf at the Intercontinental Hotel and if you get really bored you could take a cooking class theres a link on here about that somewhere!!
Good luck with it all, GFF xx
looking at staying at the beira mar, also will we have visa problems as 2 of our lads have had free holidays in her majesty's finest?
Get yourself booked into Magaluf a far better destination for your group of friends ,more entertaiment at night ,local beautys etc ,you wont find much when your out on the prowl in Calangute especially as all the boozers are shutting at 11pm currently..You will get so much stick of your friends, can you take all of that ?
we went to dominican republic last year and prague the year before.
if the pub's shacks close early we can take some kings back to the hotel.
am torn between dom rep again and goa.
If your a football team what about Trinidad /Tobago..June1st England playing there friendly,£700 for a week all inc .tickets will be easy to come by out there for the game and you got all angles covered, booze, footy, chicks, beach, weather,
chicks are not a thing that would interest me.
I have been to Goa before and love the people so Goa or dom rep it is.
go karting would be a good day out,is ther still a casino boat in whats it called?
lol...i am married so I have been to Goa before and love the people so Goa or dom rep it is.
go karting would be a good day out,is ther still a casino boat in whats it called?
Casino boat is situated on the jetty in Panjim, all taxi drivers know this ,when you lookig at going ? bear in mind your visa requirements and how long some visas are taking too process....
getting the visa's on time won't be a problem,my neighbours sister works at the embassy in brum,
my only concern is 2 of our party's criminal history preventing them from obtaining a visa.
That shouldnt be problem, they are pretty easy going, when you looking at going ???
10-12 april for 2 weeks...just found the renton manor £274 as well
Ok hope you get what your all loking for
thank you m8
all booked..had to go for renton manor....couldn't get us all in beria mar
