Im off to Laganas in Zante with two of my mates in September and was after any feedback form people who have been or are planning to go.
Where did you stay/or are going to stay?
Would be cool to get some info before i go e.g best clubs/bars, stuff to watch out for. Where to go etc.
Would also be cool if anyone was going the same time as us.
Thanks for your time.

My husband and I have been to Laganas twice and we really enjoy it there. We've been to a few of the Greek islands but Zante is our favourite.
We stayed at the Victoria hotel which is on the main road but set back slightly.
Our favourite bars are the Pink Panther and the Summertime. There are a few others that we like too but I can't recall the names.
Hope you have a great time (i'm sure you will).
Cassie
Hi we go 1st two weeks in August to laganas and staying in Garden Palace Apartments never been there before, actually not been sleeping very well alate due to reading about the tremours etc on here starting to feel abit put off about going doesn`t seem to bother hubby and not mentioned anything to our son who is 9 as not to worry him....hope by the time we go everything as settled down fingers crossed
Lagannas , if your young and lke clubbing you will have a fab time the beach is fab there are lots of good eating places but like every where the closer to the beach you are the more you pay its worth going up the road abit and paying less ,I myself am to old for the Lagannas scene I like family, but it sounds perfect for you and you mates and of course you can always hire acar to see the rest of the island
Hi went there a few summers ago with my mates stayed at the cactus apartments really really good holiday only a 5 min stroll to the main nightlife big bar open24 hours opposite the hotel costa the owner is a nutter ,nice pool area with bar and snack bar.
Have been to Laganas twice- last time Sep 2005. Stayed in hotel Alexander. After reading reviews was a bit put off by hotel and Resort but it was BRILL. Me. my mate, my boyfriend and children had different views on Laganas. Kids hated it, theres nothing to do for them. Me and my mate loved it. We would spend our time with the kids and at half 11- 12 we would venture out. Crawl back in at 5.30am. What a brill holiday. Good job she was only there for the 1st week-lol.
The music consists mainly of RnB. Its blaring out of the clubs and bars. Theres so many different clubs n that to go to, you will be spoilt for choice!
Didnt see any of the so called sex in the streets, p*** heads lying around-as the newspapers said( Think that was main season.)We went 8th September. The 1st week was more crowded than the 2nd for younger people. By the end of the 2nd week there were more children. Clubs a lot quiter. A lot less busier.
Definatly go back again!
Hope this helps.
Need to know anything else??
Maria
Hi! As you can see from my profile i'm not exactly a teenybopper but had a fantastic time in Laganas. Our apartments were slightly off the main strip but we spent all our nights there. The beach is ok and the number of pubs and clubs are too numerous to mention. There really is something to suit everyone. A word of caution - I don't know where your staying but there were a number of drop offs that would have neccessitated a long walk into the center of the resort.
Also definatley get a pedalo, the sea is lovely and clear and you might see the turtles, we did!!
If you want to know anything else just askl but you are going to have a fantastic holiday!!
We are staying at the Louis Zante beach at Laganas flying out on 9th may, does anyone know if the weather will be warm enough by then for the kids to use the swimming pool?
Thanks
Hi gixer! Unless you have some really unusual weather it will definitely be hot enough for swimming - and burning. Although I haven't been in May I went in October in 1998 and in September 3 years ago. Our little grandchildren came back golden brown and had a dream holiday. Even if you have a shower within 10 minutes everything is dry. Have a great time.
Ive been to Zante twice and with Laganas depends what your looking for, it quite commercialised now with McDonalds KFC and not as much on the Greek side of things and loads of clubs and bars etc so if your looking for a quiet holiday there isn't much chance really!!!
We took a boat out to the island you can see from Laganas bay which was cool saw the turtles swimming in the sea. Also went to Athens, Olympia and Kefalonia last year which was fab Athens was approx 6 hours drive and 2 hour ferry crossing but well worth it for the shops when the Greeks have a sale they have a sale!
Have a good holiday
we had tremors the very first time we went to lagana in june 1999 as it was the hottest june they had had in thirty years but we have been another three times since so dont worry they only last a few seconds and we only felt that one cos we were in bed, talk about the earth moving!! the other two we didnt know about as we were in the pool or the sea.
been to zante seven or eight times laganas very busy but we ventured to other parts of the island by taxi it's a young persons holiday resort so if you're over 60 I'd look elsewhere
