Hi all, Want to take my mum out for a lovely (last night )meal tonight, if anyone could suggest a nice eating place that would be great, - can remember someone saying Hoff van (?) dont know if I have got the name right!, but I think it was mentioned it was in the old town, what kind of food does this do?, and would you have to book?
Also is Toni romaos (Spelling), nice?
Mum likes steaks, pizza, pasta, chicken etc....
So if anyone can help, that would be great
Regards, belly
Although I haven't tried them yet, I have seen Hoff van Holland and Two Palms recommended on here and we are hoping to try them at Xmas.
I don't really recommend Tony Roma's. The ribs are OK but they are very expensive for what they are. I have to say I am not keen on "chain" places like Pizza Hut and I'd put this in the same league (it was only later that I realised Tony Roma's was a global franchise or I'd have never gone in), so maybe I'm not the right person to judge it.
Hi, can't remember the name of the restaurant but its on the corner next to les dunes suites(seafront) .can recommend the mixed grill and salmon in garlic sauce.Pizza and chicken on the menu aswell.
Toscana Italian Restaurant on the same street as El Meson is fantastic
C/ Gerona 3
03503 Benidorm, Spain

If you were coming into the Old Town from the Parque De L'Aiguera side, you would pass the Hotel Bristol Park which is on Calle Doctor Fleming. Just before you enter the pedestrianised part of the town (Paseo De La Carretera) there is a street to your right called Avenida De Rufaza. If you turn into that street and walk a few yards uphill, you should come to a little courtyard/square on the right hand side which is filled with small bars and restaurants. I am pretty sure that Hof Van Holland is one of them.
The only thing is, I have a feeling that they close on a Monday but not 100% sure. I have the phone number on a card somewhere but it's probably in the loft with all my holiday stuff.
I have also been to the Two Palms once and it was quite nice but also quite dark and intimate, more appealing to couples than for a meal out with mum, I'd say.
I hope you enjoy your last meal out wherever you decide to go.

looked everywhere for the tuscano, but could not find it! (Our sense of direction is terrible ), we decided we would definately try the hoff van holland next time, (Just that we were miles away - by the time we had finished our last minute shopping , time was knocking on!), plus my son was starting to moan about being hungry , so we went with your suggestion chick, and went to the restaurant next door to les dunes!, what a gorgeous meal, I had fillet steak, with mushroom and cream sauce, mum had fish, and son had spagetti bol, and we thoroughly enjoyed it, and very reasonably priced! 40E, with drinks , would definately go again! - Thanks for recommending it
As for the other restaurants, that was suggested, I have wrote them all down, and will make sure we look for them when we go for a walk in the afternoon, so we're not walking around all night looking for them!
Thanks again! BBB
glad you enjoyed it BBB.Unfortunately we only ate there once during our holiday but we will go a few nights next year. The irish coffee there is gorgeous!Did you happen to notice the name of the restaurant? The food at les dunes suites is very nice aswell. This is where we stay, excellent views
I have the exact address and telephone number for anyone who may be interested in booking in the future, it does get very busy so it is advisable to book in advance to secure a table.
The phone number is 96 585 23 52
The exact address is Ruzafa 2, Rincon Espanol, 16-17

Hi chick, the restaurant we went into, was the one next to les dunes- (which is on the corner), I didn't catch the name although my mum swears it was called les dunes, but les dunes was next door, and their restaurant was located inside the hotel!, but we'll be definately going again! Infact (a bit off topic, but I have found some great flights for next year, so just in the process of booking again! - can't believe this times yesterday, I was sat drinking sangria )
Glad to hear you've had a nice time.
The restaurant isn't called "Los Ranchos" by any chance.?
(going from memory)
Sanji
yes Sanji thats it I'm sure
Yes I'm nearly sure that is what it may have been called!
Could I just eat one of their juicy steaks now
loads of tables outside under awnings, that may or many not be in situ, depending on the weather.
Up a step inside into the back of the restaurant are set tables and the bar is on the left hand side.
At Xmas they have a model display, but at other times there are wine bottles and old Spanish nick- nacks there.
It's not a big place.
Am I warm.?
Sanji
Very warm!
