$1828 for 2 people inside cabin all taxes incl 13 nights is that about £530 each any thoughts or is there a better deal for Nov that anyone has seen
Flights are not cheap and the hotels in New York are very expensive
But the dates suit us as we could add 10 days on in Orlando and fly from there to Dublin
She got the Westin Hotel for just under a £100 for 2 persons. They were staying in NY post cruise and rang the Hotel who offered them rooms at around £300 each so once again she bbid on Priceline. I had paid a lot of money for the Marriott Marquis which is a nice hotel but the Westin seemed superior.
Me travelling on my own am not sure how I would handle it but for you it might be worth a try.

Prindy, that is a fantastic cruise and itinery and a good price!! Have you tried http://www.cruisecompete.com?? They may be able to beat it by offering OBC or free tips etc.
The flight, assuming you will fly from Dublin....go into http://www.cheapestflights.com and price for a return to Miami, based on 1st November leaving and 25 November return (after 10 days in Orlando). The outward flight goes into JFK at New York, connecting to Atlanta and then to Miami. The return from Miami (not Orlando) has only one connection, to Atlanta, then on to Dublin. Price is £428 with Delta airlines.
You should call the number on the site and explain you only want to go to NY on outward, and that you would like to return from Orlando. Worst case scenario if they cannot do it, or if the price becomes sky high is to drive back down to Miami for return flight...we have driven that route and it is no big deal! You would of course have to cross fingers and toes that the outward flight does not deviate from New York, where you would abort your connection!!
At JFK last year we stayed in the 3 star Best Western at the airport and the total cost was only $101 for the room, with complimentary breakfast and free shuttle from the airport. Simple matter of taxi ride to cruise terminal the following morning.
Car hire for 10 days at Miami can be had cheaply. It is a number of years since we did this, and there will be others around to advise best way to get reasonable car hire prices. Hotels in Orlando may present a problem though, as your 10 days will cover the USA thanksgiving holiday period I would guess. LATE EDIT - My desk diary confirms thanksgiving thursday in the USA to be 27th November, so hotels will be relatively quiet and should be sensibly priced if you use the right website for deals.
Legent of the Seas 12 nights Med. inside £545,
when?

Great deal.

Not sure, but imagine this would be the 5 October sailing Rome to Rome, for 13 nights. Noticed it on teletext P227 last night and, with flights included, is a fantastic price. If we were not booked on Ventura for 14 nights on 10 October, this would be the one!!
The RCI website price for an inside guarantee cruise only is about £440 including taxes and fuel supplement.
On http://www.thecruisestore.co.uk its £404 c/o for an inside
is it possible to get to the airport (CIA) by 9AM on the return date?
If it is Ryanair have flights for £105 for 2 from EMA
I made a mistake and it is 13 nights WHAT A PRICE in the Med 5th October!! Wait for it there is more of the same to come believe me. Brilliance now at £549 rather than £599.
looked at the X page and there are
14 nights Summit 14 nights without flights and tax but at 4th Oct starting in Barcelona ending in
Ocean view £667 inside at £555 If you also look at their web sites there are some 15th Nov £519
also Galaxy eastern Med 11 nights starting at £385 not including flights and taxes. 3/24th Nov.
Nov 14th Nov. Starting price £411.
Go on to the web sites see the prices tumbling and then look at what you can buy that cruise for.
Add it all up and then go to a TA armed with the information and see what they can do for you. Like how I bought my Sony TV but that is another story! Knowledge is ammunition and knowing what is out there and what you want then simply stick with it until you get the deal that suits your pocket.
Sorry Luci off topic
I don't think that the US agencies could compete with some of the offers that are arriving every day.
Jetline have the QM2 at £799 for T/A also like last year Nov/Dec 2 nights New York 10 cruise at £999.
For anyone out there who wants to do the QM then here is a golden opportunity to do so.

No, unfortunately that would be highly unlikely, certainly not by public transport! Depending on customs release time, if early enough it might be possible, but costly, by taxi. In my humble opinion, you could not get to airport by public transport in time for a morning flight, need to be afternoon or evening!

Hope the price of this will not plummet but it is a chance you take ,it was what we wanted to do the caribbean in Nov and then add 10 days in Orlando so this cruise suited .
Thanks to this site I have learnt so much and have gained confidence in booking a cruise
Of now on the 1st Oct on Galaxy from Rome will just be home for 2 weeks and away again there is a lot to be said for being "OLD" and "RETIRED"
Amen to that!!

Having been on the Summit and not being over impressed is the Century better
I am also looking at the Navigator deal on the 10th how does that compare (food and service wise)
Also best chance of decent weather which cruise?

I think that suffice to say that even from last year ALL cruise companies are having to tighten their belts like all of us. There could well be casualties here also although a lot of them happened a few years ago and today Carnival own practically every cruise company with RCI 2nd behind them. Does this make it safer and will less go out of business? Yes probably!
They need to fill the beds and we want the lowest price possible. In this sort of situation cuts have to be made and you will not find today any cruise line that was the same 2-3-5 years ago. I think that we have to decide how much we want to spend. There has been cut backs I think with all Cruise Company and whether this is with staffing levels quality of food or entertainment etc etc then we have to be prepared to expect a little bit less,
If we really want to retain the higher standards then we need to be looking at something like Crystal Oceania Seaborne etc.

This is probably the cheapest this far out, inc parking.
US pricing is around $1500(in tax fuel $250) so cheaper UK.
Looking back at this years baltic deals at the mid April for May trips,
RCI Jewel of the seas £599, 12n late April droped again (£499)
NCl Jewel £599 (12n)
Both included the parking(Which is expensive this year).
We did Constellation for under £900 the year before(14n)
