Many HT members will remember Lazydays when it was opposite the CSM as it was one of the early HT meeting places
The success of the HT meets meant they soon out grew Lazydays and the meets were moved from Baga to Candolim however soon after the meets moved Adolfo had the chance to take on a much big premises at the the other end CSM road that also had accommodation and he made a fantastic job of running both the restaurant and the B&B for many years but at the expense of his time to chat to everyone. Sadly at the end of last season Adolf lost the chance to renew his lease and was pushed of the premises he had worked so hard at building up over the years
The good news is there is now a new Lazydays Cafe that has just opened near Molly Malone's, it is an open shack style for place but has no accommodation, Adolfo has been posting his Fb page pictures of some new dishes they are trying out and they made my mouth water
It will certainly be one of the places Chilly and I will be reviewing after we get back to Goa in mid October, hoping it will be every bit as good as the old place and adolph will have more time to spend behind the bar now there is no accommodation to worry about
Won't be too long now meagain
In the two decades I have visited, have become totally sick of chasing my favourite business around Goa for this reason.
For me, this became one of the biggest issues, tourism wise. It was not "fun" trying to find your favourite places, any more than it is wading through garbage or avoiding too many oppressive taxi drivers.
For God's sake Goa..............wake up!
ps....... I do realise that the shack situation has an element of Government responsibility, especially the extreme corruption involved in allocation.
Same every year bb, a good place being moved. Enjoyed the set up at the 1st Lazy days and met some good faces at the meets, think it may have been the 1st one we went to..
God job Adolf founds us some more chairs as there was no way I was going to argue with the blonde, never saw her again for the rest of our holiday however I am sure I have seen her about Candolim since then but I just can't be sure
To be fair, I am going back about 12 - 15 years, a crazy Goan/Bombay guy called Keith ran it, moved around a bit for the usual un-mitigated landlord greed reasons.
sounds like a fiercesome woman!!
