hello
we're leaving for goa on saturday and we are flying with monarch airlines! are they really that bad? and or travel agaent said that its a non stop flight!?
Im Staying At the Goa marriott, anybody got any info on this place?
but its mainly the flight im worried about! going from gatwick, Saturday 8th April around 7pm, should i be excited or dreading it?
Monarch arent that great, but just thinking of the fantastic destination you will reach at the end of your journey will make it all worthwhile.
I believe Monarch flights are non stop now (we were in January). There is not a lot of leg room so its a bit cramped and always big long queues to use the loos!!
Dont let any of this put you off cos it will be wonderful when you arrive in Goa, is it your first time?
Have a fantastic time, dont think about the flight, have a couple of glasses of wine before the flight and then maybe a wee sleep, will help make the journey go faster.
Enjoy and hope to hear all about i when you get back
yeh my first time! really cant wait
We've flown with Monarch to Goa 6 times now - yes...cramped...but we survived! We've had both...4 times straight through...twice stopped at Bahrain...which was a complete waste of time..MUCH sooner go direct! It was end November we went last...and that was a Bahrain stop.
We usually...naughty I know!....but have two Stugeron travel pills (we travel fine!)..and a couple of brandy and cokes....relaxs you enough not to care about the flight!
thanks alot for the reply I Travelled on A terrible flight to another part of india last year which has put me of any airlines at all it was terrible and im quite tall too which didnt help
have fun and take care
and thanks again will tell u all about it when back
If you are very tall and dont fancy the 29" leg room, if you get to Gatwick good an early, if there is any extra leg room seats left, you can purchace one at check in.It's £30 each way which is an absolute rip off but it does get you a seat at an emergency exit My wife is pretty tall and has long legs so when we fly Monarch we just grit our teeth and pay up At least it avoids hours of agony Alan
Hi ami, we travelled with Monarch in feb and it was one of best flights ive been on. So i think its luck as to which cabin crew you get. Have a fab holiday
the marriot is great, we have just got back, we went on a sunday to the marriot, and they do a fantastic buffet, seafood bbq and grill, i am sure you will have a great time, dont think about the flight, it will be over before you know it!!
