I wont use LB although it is nearer. I can be at Manchester quicker. Another problem is that the weather can often cause flights to be diverted to Manchester.

Back in the 60s when they developed LB, or Yeadon as it was in those days they discovered they could not see the end of the runway from the control tower due to the terminl buildings intruding when it was finished. Not lot of people know that.

Yes we've had some ropey landings due to high winds there.

We use either Newcastle or Leeds Bradford airports depends who's got the best flights & times.

We could fly from Manchester at a push but do prefer the smaller airports.
