hi rosie, thomson have dropped lesvos this year for some inexplicable reason! we went to book with them after previous good experiences with the company elsewhere but are happy with our selection of hotel provided by first choice which came at a good price. apart from excel airways who are chartered by various companies including MANOS and KOSMAR, first choice airways appear to be the only uk airline to operate this route to lesvos from manchester and gatwick airports only each thursday-both provide good morning flight departures, assuming they run to time. still, i suppose the limited access does maintain the slight mystique of the place!

What a shame - the hotel we had was lovely too, right on the seafront at Petra.

The four main tour operators who do packages to Lesvos are First Choice, Manos, Kosmar and just this year Thomas Cook have started doing so as well. There are a couple of smaller Greek specialist tour operators who also provide hols to lesvos two of which are Sunvil holidays and Direct Greece. As far as I know there are 3 charter flight operators doing flights if you fancy organising yourself which are Excel, First Choice and Flyjet who are providing some of the flights for Manos. There are lots of good websites for booking accommodation independantly.....if you need any more info let me know!!

Coo Rosie - I thought I was bad, I haven't been back since 1988 when the Petra dustbin run was done by a chap with a horse and (open) cart!

we are going to petra in 6weeks time with thomas cook, booked back in february, they have some nice property in their brochure but i would imagine availability is a little thin on the ground now.
