Hi ph,

I've stayed in the Levante (not Park) a few years ago, and loved it. At 32, and it being early May, I was the youngest by far! The food was fantastic, and I thought the hotel itself was excellent - in fact it was that clean you could have eaten your dinner off the floor.

I've been to Cala Bona several times since and always used the Levante bar in an evening. The entertainment varies, and is very dependent on what you like. This years resident singers were good - last years were awful!

I know that a lot of people have gone back several times, which I think is always a good sign.

The Levante is situated on the beach, and the Levante Park across the road. Each has its own restaurant but you can use the facilities at each (Levante has an outside pool, Levante park an inside pool). The biggest criticism I've heard about the Levante is people leaving towels at riduculously early hours on the sunbeds.

If you search this forum, I think there are several other threads that refer to these hotels, either within the title or under Cala Bona.

Cala bona itself is lovely, and its only a short walk down to Cala Millor.

Hope that helps

I have never stayed at the levante but have stayed at the cala bona hotel which is just down the road. Friends who have stayed at the levante and levante park have nothing but praise for it.However, as far as evening entertainment goes we found a lot of levante guests came down to the cala bona hotel as the entertainment is great once you get passed the bingo!! Its a lovely resort with plenty of good restaurants and you can walk for miles along the front. The hotel cala bona has its own website now that's how popular it is, but then I'm biased :tup :tup :tup

Hi there
We stayed at the Levante with Thomsons. It has a continous prom that runs into Cala Millor ony a few hundred yards away,a nice pleasant walk by the sea.The shops are really good and are situated on a pedestrianised road running parallel to the beach road in Cala Millor.

There is not much to Cala Bona- a nice harbour with bars around.

There was a pub round the back, directly inland from Levante. which I will never forget but the name escapes me it was London something- London Pride? It was only a small place but they had different entertainment on every night. One night we went it was a magician- well this scruffy bloke walked in and got onto this makeshift stage-I was thinking what the...but then he began his act and I was mesmerised. We were sat near the stage an he got me to hold some ropes etc as he did this trick, then he asked me what time it was and I klooked at my watch- it had gone! He fetched it out of his pocket.I was truly impressed! I never felt it go and to this day I don't know how he managed it!

I think you will love this place having read what you want from a holiday. It was a bit quiet for me but I couldn't fault the hotel. It's a Thomson Gold and they are always of a high standard.
