Hi
We are going to the Lighthouse Apartments on 10th July and was just wondering if anyone had been to them since they have been rebuilt. They are supposed to be really good
Try over on the Icmeler online website.
Just back from Icmeler and the owners showed us round the new appartments we were very impressed and are thinking about booking them ourselves for our next holiday. They are lovely the showeroom in the one we seen was bigger than some bedrooms we've had, and the pool at the back is a decent size as well.
there are 4 appartments on the first floor and 3 on the second the lighthouse has its own website it think is

Oh and all the doors and windows have moquitto netting

Just back yesterday and were shown around these amazing apartments by Rose who works at the Lighthouse. To say sheer luxury is an understatement. we have stayed at and looked around numerous apartments in the last 7 years and these certainly are the very best. My mum wouldn't be able to manage the stairs though. But after finding the excessive heat a struggle this year and often becoming short of breath she has declared this to be her last trip to Icmeler, so we may consider there for next year, if they're not already booked up.
I stayed at the LIghthouse Apartments a couple of weeks ago. Wow they are absolutely fabulous!! It was like staying in a show-home!!! Suleyman's wife has had a wonderful time furnishing the aparts!
As Lynn says there are 7 one-bedroom apartments in total, 4 on the first floor and 3 on the top floor. All balconies face the park area and road which is great as there's so much going on and so many people to watch going about their business. We didn't find it noisy at all. We stayed in Apartment 1 on the first floor on the corner just above the "lighthouse" sign.
All apartments are light and airy and very tastefully furnished.
The first floor apartments have a hallway with full length mirror (how cool is that!), large lounge/kitchen area with a double pull-out sofa bed, satellite TV and very posh dining table and chairs. The kitchens are well equipped with plenty of cutlery and crockery, kettle, toaster, 2 hotplates, big fridge with small freezer section, even a washing up bowl - everything you could possibly need.
The apartment balconies lead off the lounge and are a good size with table and chairs and even a fold-up washing line with clothes pegs supplied - wow how good is that!
The bathrooms are big, with shower cubicle, toilet, wash basin and large mirror with shaving point and hairdryer - and the towels were so white and fluffy! There was always plenty of hot water.
The bedrooms are a good size, the first floor apartments have twin beds (which are very comfortable), double wardrobe (with safety deposit box inside £10 for a week if I remember rightly), dressing table and huge mirror (with electric socket next to - hurrah!) so plenty of storage space, an air conditioning unit too (extra charge) and tilt and turn window overlooking the pool area.
We had a look at the 2nd floor apartments and they were very similarly furnished, except for having a double bed in the bedroom and two pull out (single) sofa beds in the lounge. These seemed just a little bigger in size but also have sloping ceilings which just addd a bit of character.
The aparts are spotlessly cleaned on a daily basis (the cleaner is lovely), and quite often our towels were fanned out on the beds and scattered with flowers and petals - gorgeous!
Another good thing is you get the sun until about 2pm on the balcony so it's nice and shady by the time you've finished on the beach or had a day in the sun.
The pool is great - although not huge, plenty big enough, with plenty of sun beds and umberellas around and the staff will wander around to check you're ok and keep you supplied with cool drinks (I could get used to that kind of life! Even one of the chefs used to pop out with the odd glass of cay bless him). It's also a real suntrap there as it's quite enclosed.
The restaurant is a bit bigger than it was before with different tables and chairs and the food was it's usual high quality - I still maintain it's the best restaurant in Icmeler.
You'll certainly not be disappointed. They've got to be the best apartments I've ever had the pleasure to stay at - and I'm not just talking about in Turkey..... I'm so looking forward to staying there again in August!

Thanks for replying so quickly. I booked through Carol at Icmeler Travel Centre before they were even built and I e-mailed her a couple of weeks ago, she said I would be VERY VERY impressed and going by your reports it looks like she was 100% right. Not long to wait now (4 weeks on Monday).
Thanks again for your reviews
