With all the discussions about the price of drinks bought at Dalaman and Bodrum airports, can anyone please confirm that the Turkish authorities let you take your own drinks through all the security checks at these airports? Or is it just pot luck - sometimes they do, sometimes they don't?
Thanks.
Yes you can take your own drink and snacks to Dalaman for your return home.Drinks and food are very expensive at airport.
I can confirm that also - there is no problem taking your own drinks and food into the departure lounge with you at either Dalaman or Bodrum airports.
No problems with me, Once to Bodrum twice to Dalaman this year, Security at Before checkin and at Before Departure gate, I had food and drinks in a kit bag yes they were scanned but no search.
and is this the same procedure for Antalya
The 100ml clear bottles only apply to leaving Europe and the Usa as far as I know.
ok thank you for that.
Thanks for your replies guys and gals
Dont want to start any sort of debate ,but in my opinion ,the same security measures should be world wide, after all a terrorrist can board a plane anywhere .
I emailed first choice to check & they said you have to comply to the same liquid rules both ways but it looks like they dont check at dalaman
They do not enforce it at Antalya either .
hi all same also at izmir airport as we brought a big cooler bag with various drinks and had no problem cheers karen
For non eu countries, local restrictions apply.
This was checked today (30 August) and I will be checking again, the day before I travel.
I got 2 Air travel resealable bags by Snopake from partners - £1.49 each.
