It could be but, unfortunately, it will ultimately be disappointing for you as i think you'll find celtic's name is on the trophy next may!
Wouldn't mind it being Celtic v Liverpool in Athens next year though.

21 people have looked at this already. My wife says it's amazing that many people have got nothing better to do on a Friday night.
Little does she know, football is not a matter of life and death, it's more important than that. (quote Bill Shankly)

Sticking with the thread....there are quite a few places that show football up and down the coast at most resorts (pick a place and ask !!) - Candolim being popular, with it's big screens at a 'certain bar'. Please check, but most games come through via satellite on ESPN though waiting for a 'big' game a couple of years ago it was interupted by the cricket (not even international level) very funny and acceptable by a vast majority of the 'crowded bar'!!! As tight jock says -look out for the time difference,it will be early morning...
Loved seeing Leeds in Europe a few years back but sadly.... ''Marching on together....''' (we will be back...)...on and on....on and on... on and on..
P.S the Goan kids that we meet each year in Candolim (new cricket balls coming lads - don't panic !!),who we have met over the years love football and we always sit and have a natter, most can name more players in Man utd/Leeds teams from the 70's than I can !!
Enjoy yourself !!!

The match of the season...so far, and I'll be in Goa for both legs.
Staying at Lagoa Azul, Arpora, where can I watch

won't be a problem watching the game. I watched a Celtic Cl game in the renton manor one year, kept the poor barman up till 6 am, well I didn't , he just went to sleep and left me to it :D :D

Oh, yes, I wonder where I shall be able to watch the Celtic game, I'll be in Milan in March...anyone?

Wim: Keep taking the medication it might work one day :rofl :rofl :rofl Celtic cant win any away game so forget a visit to the San Siro or Athens. Cant see Liverpool doing much against Barca either, but you never know.
Back to the topic ... there is a pub right at Baga beach showing Scottish football this year (are the Tic Scottish? :hmmm ) It was showimg the game via Hibs in November. However, cos its CL footballl should be able to see the game.
Only visit to Athens will be a holiday not a footy game.
Spike remember one of the "Battles of Britain" Rangers v Leeds. Hateley and McCoist at Elland Road so easy .... :rofl :rofl :rofl

The only good thing about the Liverpool Barcelona game is that is the last we will see of Liverpool this season in the champions league this season. All that talent and so much underachievement. If this seems like a sad rant from a bitter bluenose well it is.Seriously though a mouthwatering game in prospect. Can you imagine a lifelong blue watching the reds go 3-0 down to Milan and actually jumping up and down with joy and then finding myself being sucked into one of the most unbelievable comebacks of all time.Worse much worse than that I then found myself actually hoping they would win. Then hardest of all had to phone all my red mates and say well done the red ****.Yeah much more important than religion.

If only our Cricket team had a Steven Gerrard.I know I will wake up in the morning and the ashes will be gone.

Regards and enjoy the tie.

Dave,

Your wife will be VERY upset when she sees just how many places there are in Baga offering big screen football, many to choose from and for some strange reason it attracts big crowds??
Sports cafe is probably the only one showing such a late match though as most bars close at 12 o clock.

Thanks for all the replies, much appreciated. Staying up until 4 am doesn't appeal, especially as I will have to do it twice !
I wonder if anyone has a recorder !
