Hi All,
My first post so would like to say thank you to all for taking part in this topic.
I am trying to find out how much is required to live a normal/simple life in Rhodes taking into account the following factors:
1- Renting a one bedroom flat (furnished if possible)
2- Having a broadband Internet
3- The normal utility bills
4- Cooking for myself 99% of the times
Can a single person get bored living in Rhodes?!

Hi. We are retiring to Kathara Bay ( Faliraki ) on 28th May. Our NEW one bedroom apartment is 200 meters from the beach.Monthly rental is 470 euros a month . Our British pensions are only income, so we will be living very cheaply.Broadband is about 20 euros a month. Water we have been told is 100 euros a year.Dont know about electric. If we do choose to eat out we know restaurants where a 4 course meal is 7 & half to 8 euros. There is no council tax .Services are charged for thro the water charge. We know we will have a better life in rhodes , than in Uk .
Many thanks for your reply. Can I please ask how you went about finding your apartment and was it easy to find?
Cheers.
