Middle aged couple and friends looking to spend a three day break over Christmas week in Lloret. I have read many reviews about the cheap hotels being really bad. Is this still the case during the winter, lager louts an all, or are they more cheap and cheerful and ok for a short break.
Any advice or reccomendation would really help.
from my knowledge the casino royal comes into its own at christmas , and is well worth the money.
what you should be aware of is that most of the resort will be closed over the christmas weekend, and so you need to pick a hotel that you will be comfortable in.
the main bit to be aware of is that most hotels do a "gala" DINNER ON 24TH AND A FIXED CHRISTMAS DINNER ON 25TH. THERE ARE NO OTHER OPTIONS! YOU EITHER BUY INTO THE CHRISTMAS way or you do without.
i would personally choose the royal beach, as the robin hood/roxys opposite will be open, but from all other info that i have, the casino is value for that period.
because the weather is unpredictable, i would always choose the RB, but would never put anyone off the casino.
i would personally never, ever, opt for the alexis.
