I am going to Kyrenia for 8 days at end of August - and that is all sorted, intend staying in Larnaca for 3 days at beginning of Sept. before flying back.
Can anyone recc a good Hotel - B&B basis .... don't need 5star, would prefer not being in centre of city .. although for 3 nights would put up with it.
Must have a good pool area, rooms need to be clean ... nice if near the seafront - but would consider others.
Try the Lysithea. It's not in the centre of Larnaca but near to some pubs, restaurants, shops etc. We stayed in private apts across the road a few years ago but they let us use the pool as long as bought drinks. The beach is acroos the road too. It's situated on the main road where you can hop on the bus into the town or into Napa. I believe it's had a refurb too. I'm sure someone else on here stays here, maybe they will be along soon and can help.

The Lysithea has recently had a refurb.
We stayed there a few years ago and had a great time.
It is a little out of the way, being about as far from Larnaca centre as you can go and still be classed as being in Larnaca. It is actually in Pyla tourist area.
