Hi Everyone,
Sorry but I'm prob looking for quite a bit of input there.
Its my mum's 50th in December, it had been her lifelong dream to go to Hawaii but unfortunately its a bit out of my budget. I know next on her list would be Egypt, so I'm investigating that now.
Sharm looks beautiful, if we don't go there this time, then I'll def be back with my hubby!
We're looking for a luxurious hotel preferably on the beach. Big bedrooms as my mum, sis and I will be sharing.
Is it best to go all inclusive? Or is the food cheap enough to eat out?
Are all the good coastal resorts miles and miles away from the pyramids etc. I know we couldn't go to Egypt and not go to the pyramids.
What other good excursions would you recommend?
How's the weather likely to be around March time? Could go Jan Feb or March, as long as its hot enough for me to get a good tan I don't care (I'm a total sun worshipper).
Is most entertainment hotel based, or in bars and restaurants?
Thanks in advance.

Thanks for the reply Briar, most helpful.
Not unless you can find one on the banks of the Nile or they move the pyramids a long long long way south.
There might be a map on here somewhere, but the red sea resorts are a long way from the sights, ive been researching as I am going for the first time soon. I think its five hours by coach each way to the pyramids, which might be a bit much for your Mum. (and me )
I also looked into the difference in cost between AI and B&B, interms of what you spend, because food is so cheap I don't think there is much difference in price. Its down to what you like really. I went for B&B as I have an AI booked for later in the year and fancied a change. But I think if you go B&B you may need to be a bit closer to Namma Bay so that you can get to all the restaurants.
