Laura Beach - Paphos

Looking at Laura Beach for next year. No reviews on HT ( Seen Holidays Uncovered ) Just wondered if any of our Cyprus addicts know anything - I understand it is being refurbished over winter.

thats good - we paid £840.00 but it is in peak season. Was it the tour opertaor that told you about the refurb? We got told off somebody who had stayed there as i am a little concerned that the refurb will not be finished when we go?

Stayed here in September this year on an 'Allocation on Arrival' . The hotel does need an update and the food was not the best but it was clean enough and the grounds are great with plenty of sunbeds and a small beach. Staff also friendly especially those on reception. Wouldn't stay here out of choice because of it's location - it is a 20 min bus ride away from the harbour area of Paphos although there are a handful of bars and a couple of restaurants nearby. It cost us £900ish for two for a week but that was bed and breakfast.

Looks like your typical "Marmite Syndrome" - either love or hate it !!!

I am wondering of those who stayed in this area, did the fact that Paphos and Coral Bay were approx 5km away cause any issues regarding transport to Paphos for a day trip or an evening out and likewise with Coral Bay.

Do you wish you had chosen a location either in Kato Paphos or in Coral Bay???

Not sure if people are aware but this hotel is being given a facelift over the winter months and made upto a 5 star hotel, it does concern me with the mixed reviews as we are getting married in Paphos and us and family are staying at this hotel.

i suppose if you go with an open mind this shouldnt bother you but as it is my wedding i wouldnt like to be disappointed.

i have emailed the hotel and they have their first guests going on 28th march all the inside work is finished but the outside is due to be completed by the end of APril.
