Hi
In October we will be flying home from our holiday from Boston to Montreal and then on to Gatwick. The flights are booked with 2 different airlines - Jazz(Air Canada) for the Boston to Montreal flight, and then Canadian Affair (Air Transat) from Montreal to Gatwick. The first flight is scheduled to arrive in Montreal at 18:10 and the second flight is due to depart at 21:55. Hopefully 3hrs 45mins between arrival and departure should be ample, but can anyone tell me what the procedure is re luggage. Do we collect this after going through passport control etc and then book in afresh, or can we organise for our luggage to be transferred from one flight to the other? I don't mind either way - just don't want to screw up as I've never taken interconnecting flights before.
Thanks. By the way has anyone flown with either of these airlines and if so what do you think of them?
Sue
If the airlines are not on a code sharing programme, then usually they don't tag the luggage to the final destination. For that reason you have to collect the luggage and then check it back in.
