I sometimes haven't bothered with labels and just put my name inside the case as you said.
Always print the HT ones & also get some of those brown tags in WH Smith
Use the HT ones brilliant
I sometimes buy Brown ones. I sometimes go into the agency where I used to work and 'borrow' some even though I don't book through them . I have just recently got some very nice KLM ones with a personalised picture - good freebie Last time we flew I didn't bother with any.
I got the KLM ones a few years ago. Made up with them and still use them.
I will print some of the HT labels off later.
Do you write your address on them as I have heard stories of thiefs looking out for addresses at the airports?

Never, ever put your home address on labels attached to an outbound suitcase. You are signalling to all and sundry that your house is going to be empty for up to a fortnight. If your case gts lost there are all sorts of ways it can be re-united with you without you doing this. It's as good as putting up a large poster in your front window saying 'Feel free to burgle this house - it will be days before anybody notices you've done it'.
Seriously, there is no need to put your home address on a label on the outside of your case, not even on the way home, because the bar-code on the tags identifies it as yours and you can give them your address when you report it missing. I never even bother leaving a note of my name and address on the inside now and lost cases have always turned up and still been returned to me within a coule of days at the most.

I still think it's valuable to put a note inside the case. The one time my daughter forgot to do that, her case went missing. It reached Heathrow from Paris but then stalled. Took three weeks and a lot of phone class to try and trace it -they had opened it in London and then lost it again! Had she remembered to put her address inside, she would have recieved it in a couple of days.
