I read about this luggage courier company in today's paper. Sounds like a good idea. I messaged the owner to see if they delivered luggage to addresses other than hotels and he said Yes. It sounds very useful as my youngest is going to Alicante Uni in Spain for her year abroad . The guy said as long as there is an address they can pick up from your home and deliver to an address abroad. Europe is about 4 days. It can be delivered and collected from hotel receptions too.

Wow it would be great to send your luggage ahead for your holiday. Save you carting it through the airport, waiting at the carousel, getting it on and off the coach. Plus you could take more kgs.

I suppose it would be of value on the budget airlines such as Ryanair and Easyjet. Compare the prices for hold luggage.

I thought this looked interesting, particularly for less able travellers or people going abroad for longish periods with a lot of luggage. I did a direct comparison with our next EasyJet flight to Faro and the costs were Luggage Mule £94.99 per bag as against EJ £35.00. In addition, Luggage Mule would collect the luggage 6 days before departure and deliver it back home 6 days after your return.
Still think it's a good idea though, but probably not for me while I have my own personal luggage mule in the form of hubby!

Haha We have booked 4 tickets out to Alicante (with 3 returning) to take all my daughter's possessions for the year. If we weren't fussed about getting her settled in and taking a mini holiday ourselves I expect it would have worked out cheaper to use them and send cases over which would be waiting for her.
