Flying manchester to Heathrow to Bangkok may 3rd...sorry for the basic question but does our luggage dissapear at manchester and we don't see it till Bangkok?

are both flights with the same airline? If so, then yes you can check your luggage straight through. If not, then best to check with the first airline- some are happy to check through whilst others aren't.
