We stayed there last year, the rooms are big and you have a large front room and seperate large double bedroom. Try to get a room away from the pool bar as the noise from this can go on until anytime, we have an 8 year old so we went to our room about midnight. Other people let their children run around the bar area til after 2am. The childrens club was good and the food was fine. The pool areas are also nice and also clean but unfortunatley nothing was working in the gym at all and the turkish bath was closed down. It is right at the back of Marmaris so you will need to get the dolmus into town. The staff are friendly and on the whole we enjoyed it. If there is anything in particular you want to know just ask.

Thanx for the info, just a couple of questions what were the air conditioning prices like as my brother in law paid £40 per room (£120 per week) in Pefkos last year. And also what are the food and drink prices like at the hotel and marmaris as a whole.
Thanks Anne
Yes there were a few very good resturants near the hotel. There was also entertainment at the hotel, the usual belly dancers quiz nights etc good fun. I have just posted a reply but it seems to have dissappeared with details of Mustafas which serves excellent food and great entertainment from the waiters and it is only 5 mins from hotel. Also hope you get more sleep than us, kids screaming til 2 round the bar, Mosque call at about 4.30am and local donkey who starts just after. Have a couple of drinks before bed and you should sleep thru. We still managed to have a lovely time but the walk to the beach would take at least 1/2 hour dont worry plenty of dolmus buses minutes from hotel.

just remembered there is a free mini bus from the hotel so many times a day. We are definately hooked on Turkey although we are going 4th July to Olu Deniz as we prefer a little bit quieter than marmaris and the beach at OLu is lovely. You must go across to Icmelar while you are there you can either take a water taxi or the bus both from Marmaris it will show you a different side to Turkey. The jewellry shops in Marmaris are great and they can do anything you ask. I had my diamond taken out of my old engagement ring and replaced in a new mount copied from the old one but thicker. it was fantastic all for £90.00. Have a lovey time

I have read up on them and they seem to be good, except for perhaps the location which at the back of Armutalan area. Has anyone been there, are they OK and is really that far out of town
Stewart
cant help with that hotel but you wont be disappionted with armutalan.
a bus ride into the town/beach will cost you 50p per person and you wont have to wait more than five mins.
if you dont want to go into the town theres plenty of places to eat/drink in armutalan, hope this helps

My friends really liked it there. They said the rooms were lovely, spacious and very clean. Although the hotel is quite a way from the centre, there is a regular free dolmus in and out of Marmaris centre.
Has anyone been here, going in July. What hotel and area like? Does anyone know any nice restaurants or bars as last time in marmaris stayed at Kocer club. How long to walk to town> thanks
quite a walk from marmaris centre but they do a free shuttle hourly. There are hundreds of restaurants in the armutalan area, which is not such a long distance away from the hotel.
have booked for next july , are they ok
There is a free bus service to Marmaris, however try the local fair ride....or is it called dolmus its great fun. The local area is only a 5 minute walk away there are several bars and restaraunts there, also try the Jeep Safari, another excellent day out and resonable price. If you want any more info just ask.
Above all just 1 tip, when on the transfer from Dalaman airport you will stop at a "rest area" do not be ripped off in the shop, nothing is marked with prices and the shopkeeper chooses any price he wishes, you must stand your ground and barter with him.

Hi a big group of us are going in July. Has anyone visited these apartments recently and what are they like? Is there any good restaurants/entertainment in area as been told its in armultan area which is in no mans land. thanks
inside the hotel you get a very small measure, for 5 lira, outside the hotels you get 5 times as much in the glass for the same price, be very carefull of this even at happy hour your measures are 4 to 5 times smaller than anyother place
would reccomend carols just down from the hotel, great measures buy one get one free at night on evrything from tea to cocktails free use of thier pool, and thier breakfast and food is excellent
going back to the hotel its the only place in the world i have been with no tv, also you only get one toilet roll per vist, but it was very clean will be doing a full report in hotel section later please email me for any other info
Sammy can assure you Armutalan area is definitely not no man's land!! Loads of restaurants and bars and cheaper than the beach front. Not too far to walk to beach. Dolmus frequent and cheap too.
Posted hotel review about hotel, definitely not recommend it, too far out. However Armutalan is a good area about 10 - 15 mins walk from hotel, will go to marmaris again but stop in central town or armutalan area, as only few shops/bars near hotel, not a lot of choice as hotel is in armutalan but not the central part (like a small village on outskirts).
I stopping here i have read in brochure it up a hill, is this correct? if so how steep is it and is it way out of marmaris, it says it in armutalan area so is there any bars resaturants nearby?
You will need to get the Dolmis to beach/town all the time, but bus stops at the bottom of the hill so it's not a problem.
The hill isn't big, but it is very steep especially when you're tired in the evenings, we were lucky on some days as we had 13 of us staying at the Lunamar and on two or three occasions we were singing 'Up The Hill' to the Dolmis driver and depending on what mood their in will depend if they take you up there.
A little tip for his trouble is worth it to avoid your aching legs.
Hotel is nice and clean, just beware of the photographer as pictures are not as clear when they're enlarged and he won't refund any money, so be careful before you order.
There's a great bar/restaurant just down the bottom of the hill called 'Carols' they made our holiday as they are so nice and enjoy a good laugh, they also let you use their pool if you want to, we signed a t-shirt for them all when we left which should be hanging up in their restaurant.
Have a lovely time
down in armutulan the main rd at top thier is another nice eating place cant remember the name but its all stainless steel, so you should not miss it, if you are going on a boat trip book from him i think its the acopulco the name of the boat, good price all drinks and meal included
the hill is quite steep outside the hotel, its a young guy that owns it, i got on quite well with him, just that i did not drink in hotel
