try can pastilla only 10 minutes from the airport or palma city.
hotel alexandra is really good and look on line you can get some great prices in the winter.

We stayed twice in Palma itself. Costa Azul Hotel, over the road from the harbour, 15min slow walk to the cathedral. No 1 bus from airport drops you near enough outside hotel. dead easy

The weather won't be fantastic, so think of it as a city break rather than a beach holiday......

though with a baby, you wouldn't want it too hot anyway...

Palma is a good choice because there is lots to do there, whatever the weather

Yes Acorncup, only going for a 3 night break, flights were cheap so thought might as well :-)

Hotel Costa Azul was fine, we just had b and b, nice Italian now far if you turn right and of course the nice walk into the City, plenty of nice places to eat. If you do go ask for a room above the 4th floor. We went in the Jan for a city break and were on the second floor, not that we were using the balcony but the lower rooms are nearer to the road, above fourth thats after pool level were set back.
