Cover them up with clothing as much as possible and use a good repellents also spray your room when you go out and use mossie nets if you can.
yes thanks thats what I intend to do and hopefully all will be well.
Does anybody have any tips for disguising the anti malarials that has worked for their chldren??
you can get medicine for children and you must make them take it
we took our 3yr old granddaughter with us last year and she was great It may cost a bribe say a lolly or sweets afterwards you have the choice you can take them or leave them and take the risk your chilren havent

sorry if i offend some folks
hi well no offence taken, but if it was really that simple i would be doing just that! I am not an irresponsible mother and if all i had to do to get them to take it was to offer a bribe of some sort we wouldnt have a problem! the youngest one will not take tablets without being sick 2 or 3 times straight after and can spot a disguised tablet in food straightaway. He is the same with medicine and cannot even take calpol without bringing it staight back. the eldest i could perhaps get to take a liquid form of it if there is such a thing?
go to your doctors maybe you could mix the liquid with a milk shake or some thing but I'm not quite sure

I took my children to sri lanka 11 years ago , they were both very young at thr time , I tried to explain to them about the dangers of not taking them , they listened with great attention..lol..! they took them and were fine , we gave them ice cream an pop after.

They have bandanas etc for children and even a teddy bear.
You will still need insect repellent but these give extra protection.
