I can't seem to find any information on whether I need to get Malaria tablets.
Went to the doctor's and they said No, been online, some people say yes, some say no.

Scottish NHS website They show you exactly where the highest risk areas are.
For what it's worth, I always like to play safe where malaria's concerned and insisted on taking malaria tablets for our trip to Sabah a few years ago, but I'm not sure that they were strictly necessary for the coastal areas we were in.

Take a look at the malaria maps on the For what it's worth, I always like to play safe where malaria's concerned and insisted on taking malaria tablets for our trip to Sabah a few years ago, but I'm not sure that they were strictly necessary for the coastal areas we were in.

We have been to Borneo twice, and have taken malerone both times. We were advised by our clinic to take them. Malerone is the most expensive of all the anti-maleria tablets to buy, but we had no bad symtoms at all.The tour sounds really good, i have stayed at the tanjung aru hotel in KK twice, its a really nice place to look around. Seligan island is also very lovely, but the huts are very basic . Take something to read with you, as we had a very long wait [2am] before the first turtle came ashore.
Have fun
