Post is slow. I sent a small parcel last year. The Post Office this end said it would take 4-5 days (I'd paid for first class post) - it actually took a month. Apparently, post goes to Istanbul first and is then distributed from there.

Post dreadful. Send my turkish "son" birthday card every year but always takes about 6 weeks to arrive so going to be prepared this year and send really early

Yeah post is rubbish. I sent photos etc last year & a couple of letters to friends over the winter, the shortest time was 3 weeks ranging up to about 6 weeks, thank God for email!

hi im going to marmaris on the 22/08/06 im staying in the sinserity apartments but i cant find out much about them can any one enlighten me plz r they near armutalan cant see them on the map

Its just past the Cettia on the opposite side of the road. Cettia ia number 131 on the map

Presumably number 131 will be next door to or very close to 132 which is shown on the map. Has anyone been to Cettia Apart and which Tour Operator can I book through. Any info would be much appreciated.

the cosmopolitan are roughly around no 35 (directly opposite - other side of main road)

Thanks alizda for that, but it is to far out from the resort for me but I will keep looking for a hotel for next year.

They are in the Armutatan area about 5 minutes from the Antique Palace and about a 30 - 35 minute walk to the Tansas.

brill map any idea where lobellia apartments no 37 are folk flying out on 29th there flight was cancelled and only alternate flight came with these apertments and i cant find any info on them

Any useful places to add to the Marmaris map?

Hi Guys

As this is our first holiday to Turkey, as you can imagine, I am trying to find out as much info as possible.

I have already highlighted where to get our Turkish Bath, but wondered if there were any other places of interest I could mark on the map.

I understand there is a Bazzar (open every day) as well as an indoor market (open on a Thursday) in Marmaris. Can someone tell me roughly where they are on the map?

We are staying at the Nergis hotel (number 98 on the map).

Also would be interested to find out where the Aquapark is.

Hi Gordon - From your hotel, walk to the beach front then right along the prom towards Icmeler and you will pass the aquapark.

For the Bazaar, from your hotel, again walk to the beach front and turn left towards Ataturk Square and the Marina, you can't miss it.

For the Thursday Market, this is held behind Tansas Supermarket. Walk to the Ataturk statue, with your back to the statue walk up the road in front of you to Tansas and you will find the market.

I was there last week and had a Turkish Bath at the Pasa Beach Hotel on the beach front. It was excellent. Also Club Atrium (47 on map) are very good for the Turkish Bath.
