I think you will have difficulty in finding detailed maps of the north, or for that matter, much of Cyprus. Tourist areas have quite detailed maps, as do the Troodos mountains, but there is nothing like OS standard for the rest of the island.

The only GPS I have ever found for Cyprus covers the whole of the island. I have Pocket Navigator 6 with the Cyprus map on it. This runs on my PDA whichs runs on a windows mobile platform. It's OK (for free ;)), but nowhere near as good as TomTom is in the UK.

I will look into Pocket Navigator 6 as I normaly run a pda. Usualy I run memory map and if I can find a paper copy I could scan it in and callibrate it for use on the pda.
