Well it's definately nowhere near Luxor Chris :rofl

Doesnt sound like beach side . The hotel website is giving a location of Peace Road at Um Marikha Bay between NB and the airport . http://www.maritim.com/en/hotels/egypt/jolie-ville-royal-peninsula-hotel-resort-sharm-el-sheikh

:rofl cant make up my mind as usual. Perhaps I should go to Luxor in Feb and Sharm in April.

Dont know why I don't know where it is. Am wondering if its new.

Would like to go BnB and maybe eat out for a change, after the Holiday Village experience of last year, which we did enjoy but it's always nice to have a change and I was thinking if it was near soho square that might be an alternative to Namma Bay of a night.

Looks lovely on the web-site but then they always do. :rofl
The prices are exhorbitant for April. I looked at the Hilton at Nuwebia and it was 750 per person - scary.

Chris I've found it on a map here http://www.holidaytruths.co.uk/viewtopic.php?f=32&t=142889

click on the first map listed and your see a red dot in the middle saying sharm el sheikh . there are a couple of hotels in front of that dot . hover your mouse over the triangle area. looks like theres another maritim hotel closer to the beach so maybe you can use that .

Thanks Lyn. I have realised where it is now, it has the Golf Course between it and the Maritim Golf Resort and I am sure you can use their beach - well it wont be a beach just terraces cut in the rock. It's near the Crowne Plaza that we stayed in once (although I know that has been renamed) and that area is fine for us, probably about 7 kilometers from Namma Bay.

I'm not great on wiki maps I often seem to gets rectangles blanked out. Used to like the other map we used but is no longer free. Thanks again, for some bizzare reason I seem to like to get my bearings as to where hotels are. I suppose it's because I have been a few times and like to know where I am. Daft as we will probably only leave the hotel under cover of darkness in a cab to go out and eat/drink. :rofl I reckon its fairly new and is probably near the airport.

It sounds new to me Chris but I think you would have to get a cab although i'm sure they will have plenty restaurants on site.. looking at that map though you could easily go in either direction. I don't think soho square would be far . We never went over there but I'm fairly certain it's outside the savoy. http://www.soho-sharm.com/

funny I had always thought you were actually in NB at the crown plaza .

Thanks for the link, will look later I think soho square the place with the Ice Bar ? They were handing out flyers for it at Nabq last year and asking people if they had heard of it and would they consider visiting it, I don't suppose its all that big.

The Crowne Plaza (that was) was kind of next to the Hyatt, so it wasnt exactly in Namma Bay, But a friend that stayed at the Hyatt managed to find a costal path to walk into Namma Bay, although she said it took 30 mins :really she was there in January so I guess not such a problem with heat - but I wouldn't want to walk it. The snorkelling/coral in that area is good think it's the far garden reef.

Yes it does have the Ice bar chris . Lesley has been there so she would be able to give you more info than me . I wouldnt think Soho square would have the same buzz as Naama bay but it would make a change .

Yes I would expect good snorkelling and diving there .My lot have done many a good dive around far/near /middle garden . Loads of dive sites along there.

It's sounding better by the day . :D
