Its the Marmaris Palace that has an ice rink, but when we were in Icmeler last October it wasnt been used.
The Marmaris Park is about 2 hotels away and about a half hour walk along the beach path to Icmeler.
It really isnt worth going AI to Icmeler as there are lots of excellent restaurants at very good prices.
We met an American couple staying at the Marmaris park and they ate out every night.

Hello I did said about the ice ring we had heard of by the marmaris park, but I wouldnt use one because I know I would spend the whole time on my behind.
I would be more into the water sports.
and Scuba Diving and snorkeling, does anyone know of the there being a lot of steps at the marmaris park.
I am disabled might cope with afew but if there are alot of steps to use every day that might prove abit hard.
I bring a scooter with me when on holiday its helps when going for a long walk ( ride )
whats the area like is it flat or hills with big kerbs.
any information please would be great.
thanks alot

Hi Fred, My husband & I have stayed twice at Marmaris Park (also next door at Marmaris Palace which definitely has the edge over the Park) however, we enjoyed our stay & although the food selection was not great it was edible & it's always nice to enjoy one of Icmelers many excellent restaurants occasionally. On our first visit to the Park we arrived late at night & couldn't believe the wonderful mountain view that met us at breakfast, it was sensational. It also has its own private jetty which is great for sunbathing, but there is unfortunately quite a number of steps down to it as the Park is set up quite high. Boat trips, snorkelling etc. can be booked at a very reasonable price in Icmeler, which is about a lovely 20min pedestrianised walk away. Hope you have a fantastic holiday.

The resort of Icmeler is very flat but as you get towards the Marmaris park and neighbouring hotels they tend to be built on different levels.
There are reviews on here and on Trip advisor with photos.

Hello Chrissie
thanks for youe reply, could you give a rough idea of how many steps there are I know you wouldnt of counted them, I am only asking because I have knee replacement and it doesnt like steps.
I have been to turkey once before and I loved it the people are great and the Diving is good to, and it was ok for my scooter which is only small, I wrote and told afew people about scooters and airplanes and there was about six couples who brought them for there dads who were disabled.
once again thank you for taking the time to write.

Hi Fred, I would estimate that there were approx. 20 wooden steps down to the jetty & it spiralled slightly. Hope this helps & that it doesn't impede your enjoyment too much. We are going to Icmeler in Sept & staying at the L'etoile 4* A/I hotel which is directly on the front of the beach & all on the level. We have stayed here twice before also & although again, not a fantastic hotel it's right in the centre of Icmeler & may suit your needs better. If I can be of any further assistance Fred, please fell free to ask.

Kindest regards
Chrissie

Hello every one
could anyone please tell me if they have been to the hotel Marmaris Park, if so could anyone tell anything about the hotel, I have heard there is horse riding there and scuba diving, I am Advanced Padi Diver, so would like to do some diving, my wife and I both like to snorkel, we would have ago at most water sports.
some one said there was ice skating there but I think I was getting my leg pulled, my wife would have ago at ice skating but I dont want to end up on my back.
Also could anyone please tell me about the steps that are there are there loads of them and do they have something to hold on to.
any infortmation would be very welcome we are thinking of going in My around the 20th for two weeks.
will it be hot then.

thank you

Fred Perrin1,

I've merged your post with the Marmaris Park topic as you're more likely to get information here than on the chat topic. Diving is operated by one of the many dive schools based in Marmaris / Icmeler.

Hi ,can anybody please tell me what a standard twin or double room is like at this hotel.I would really like a bungalow room, are these extra? Thanks for any advice,T.

Thanks Ironduke,I really wanted to know if anybody could tell me which room I am likely to get,is there an extra charge to get a bungalow room. Thanks again,T.

Actually I couldn't find an exact info for the rooms. You should ask your booking agent for the rooms. I checked the local operators and couldn't see any price details for the main building rooms or bungalows. It seems to be there is no extra charge but I am not sure. Also in some booking local companies it is being said that the reservations are not open at the moment. There may be a problem with the hotel. It is better you should ask your operator or send email to the hotel. Below is their contact form, just ask.

do no t go worst holiday ive ever had foods rubbish entertainment is diabolical full of russians and we were all ill appart from that rooms were nice

Some of the reviews have been very good,we don't really care about the food as it's cheap enough to eat out ,we only go AI for the convenience of not having to carry money around for drinks during the day, soft drinks are so expensive when you want a lot because of the heat.
