Hi Stephanie,
You should check with your GP to make sure that you are fit to fly, ensure that you have proper insurance to cover you.
It is reccomended that you have injections for Turkey but to be honest not everyone does, we did the first time we went but have not had them again.
There are English speaking doctors and also two hospitals in resort should you need any help. People i have spoken to who have used the Hospital in Marmaris have had nothing but praise for it.
The only thing that might bother you is the heat but i wouldn`t let that stop me going if i was pregnant and everything else was fine.
Drink plenty water, be careful and take shade when you can because hormones can make the skin more sensitive and prone to burn easier, so use a very high factor sun cream.
Other than that just have fun.

hi

i went to turkey in the summer when i was 20 weeks pregnant, i didnt have any problems in turkey, but i am prone to swelling when im pregnant so did swell up a bit more than usual on the return flight only, they did let me have a front row seat on plane both ways to give me a bit more room, so thats worth asking when you check in, but i do swell on flights when in not pregnant anyway so that was probably just me. im sure everything will be fine, but check with your midwife or dr if you are slightly worried

I dont know how well you cope with heat but I came back last year on June 21st and the temperature was 50c!
This may have been a heatwave but I am sticking to May this year as I really couldnt stand it!I spent most of the time in the shade! :sun2

Hi stephanie I am not sure if it makes any difference with being pregnant ,but i would check my insurance , i have quite a few things wrong with me and i had to inform my insurance company ,so if i had to visit the docs or hospital in turkey i could claim the cost back ,as i say dont know if it is the same for pregnancy and i may be wrong ,worth ckecking with your insurance.

Hi, we are travelling to Turkey next week with our daughter in law who will be 20+ weeks pregnant. We have informed the insurance company and they told us she will be fully covered if there are any problems with the pregnancy. Please make sure you inform your insurance company, just to be on the safe side. The hospitals there are excellent. Denny PS Congratulations!!!

Hi, I spent most of my first pregnancy in Turkey although I came home to the Uk to have my baby. I also went on holiday to Turkey when I was pregnant with our second child, I was about 5 months and it was July. I was fine in the heat but I guess I am pretty used to it! If you do need a doctor you can find a specialist baby doctor fairly easily, I lived in Bodrum so I can't tell you where they are in marmaris. I'm sure you will have a great time, just have a really relaxing holiday and you will be fine x
