We are 2 families with 4 children under 3 and fancied some winter sun in feb next year
We want a villa in either of the 2 locations
maspalomas, gran canaria
peurto del carmen, old town and harbour, lanzarote
We are going to be mainly villa based using the heated pool with trips out to lunch, to shops and beach during the day as our children will be aged 6 months ,1,2 and 3
The adults in our group really enjoy great food in lovely surroundings and relaxing time playing with the kids in the sun.
is it hot in feb in either location, is one markedly hotter?
will either location be dead in feb?
any areas to avoid in either location
which would you choose?
any advice would be most greatfully recieved,
thanks in advance Donna
However we really like Maspalomas as a resort and in February I'd say it just beats PDC on weather, particularly as the Lanzarote wind can take the edge off temperatures.
Maspalomas has an upmarket feel with some terrific hotels and nice shops and restaurants along the prom. Also has the stunning dunes and the lighthouse is a bit of a landmark (shame they don't do more with it). PDI is a short taxi ride away if you want something more lively.
Only downside would be your need for a villa, as I think they're mostly set quite a way back from the beach, on the golf course complex ?
Both resorts are fully open in Feb, as the Canaries are a true year round sunshine destination.
have a look at owners direct for a villa, ive booked a 3 bedroom with roof terrace, private pool, full sky tv ect..... for september in fuerteventura, with accom and flights baggage for 5 people got it all for £1,540 for two weeks.
