Right, so now I've booked our hols to Candolim next year I am over excited and doing lots of research!
Can anyone tell me how much roughly we can expect to pay for meals and drinks (I know it's a bit like asking how much is a piece of string as it'll all depend on where we eat!)
I am trying to work out spending money for two of us for 2 weeks. We like to do a few trips, laze on the beach, have a few drinks (but we are not heavy drinkers), and have lunch and dinner out.
Like you say it depends on what you eat, my wife & I usually spend in the region of £550 - £600 in a fortnight & that includes a few trips, like you, we are also not heavy drinkers.
Shacks all day long, restaurants every evening. Went fishing twice & to see the elephants in Ponda once.
Also rented a jeep for 4/5 days.
Not being heavy drinkers won't make that much difference.

Great - thanks guys!
That's drinks and lunch at beach shacks, drinks and meals at night.
We didn't stint ourselves either.
It's very cheap to eat and drink out.
To budget for trips, take a look at this website for ideas of what you can do and how much it's likely to cost:

You'll probably be able to do most trips cheaper if you arrange your own taxi for the day.
