yesterday our friends wee boy fell and cut his chin at the pool.he got his wound glued by a doctor and it cost 75 pound that was the excess fee.today a guy passed out at our aptms whilst having lunch my husband carried him over to the resident doctor .his blood sugar was low and he was told to eat a mars bar and charged 50 pounds excess our excess is 40 pounds but we never needed to use it thank god......
This is not widely known or advertised, but the Department of Health website is quite clear on this, and we have used it a couple of times [nothing serious].

Hi CB I've only just realised that you were on both threads! Hope you are OK now.
A couple of weeks ago when we were in Golden Sands my son got a large blister on his foot (his own fault for running around playing Tennis with nothing on his feet), we went to a chemist to buy some plasters who insisted on knowing and seeing what they were needed for, they then cleaned up his foot, put on some cream and dressed it for him and then advised us on how to heal it best over the next couple of days.
