I know this is a strange request but does anyone know where we can buy replica medieval armour in Goa? We've been looking at it on Ebay and it seems that a lot of it comes from India so we thought we'd check it out when we go back later this month. By the way, we want it to decorate our dining room not to wear or anything!
Thanks
Gail
You could try Saudades in Sangolda, it's a really big gallery place that sells antiques and colonial furniture. There are a few of these similar type shops on the same stretch of road.
Hope you get sorted, but don't wear it to the beach!!!
GFF xx
Thanks for that, will check it out. Tried to find Sangolda on the map but couldn't see it. My geography of the region is pretty poor. I thought it might be near Guirim/Mapusa? If we ask a taxi driver to take us to Saudades in Sangolda do you think they'll know where it is? We're staying in Candolim.
Regards
Gail
Go right at the church in Calangute if you are coming from Candolim and continue down past the Maria Rosa as if you were heading to Panjim. There are actually 3 antiques places here, but I have never seen armour. Prices here have risen drastically in the last two years, probably due to people furnishing properties. It is not cheap now.
