Hi Mary, i think the best place to book it would be down on the harbour, as far as im aware most, if not all boat trip passengers get picked up from hotel. i was on a boat trip last year and saw the mega diana, they were really partying it up, looked like loads of fun, i think all prices are around £10-£12, and that will include drinks and food... i know it does on that boat, its a big boat and fits loads of people on... stops of a couple of times for the "trippers" to have a chance to jump in the sea for a swim.... i know il be going on it this year, thats for sure! :D

Hi I always go on the mega diana boat when we have our holiday at least twice sometimes more often. It is not a small boat, but they only let enough people on so everyone has a sun lounger. It is all inclusive, you get picked up at your hotel once on board you get your breakfast of a cheese and ham toastie and as much water, tea or coffee and soft drinks as you like. Once the anchor is up and the boat is moving even though it has not left the harbour the deck hands come round with alcholic drinks, bottled beer, wine or spirits. They come round with drinks at least once every 15 minutes. You have lots of swim stops, games on board and also your lunch and afternoon biscuits. I have done several different boat trips and this is by far the best one. Last year it cost 13 pound per person, but if you don't want alcholic drinks it is a bit cheaper. The owner is called H and it can only be booked at the shop which is Donatello travel. But if you pass the boat they will be able to ring the shop for you to book. Go for it you will not be disappointed. When do you go to Marmaris we are there in two weeks on friday can't wait.

hi

got to agree, the mega diana is the best boat trip, h or hasan who owns the boat, and also donatella travel is really nice, we also did the jeep safari with him, that is a really good day, but watch out you never know when you might get soaked with water.

hi mary

yes the mega diana is a wooden boat.
children are very welcome on this boat, kids usually get a chance to drive the boat.
one of my most memorable times on the boat was when a very little boat came up alongside us shouting icecreams, imagine you are in the middle of the sea and the icecream man arrives, whats next a floating bazaar.

donatella travel is next to a small bar called no limits, across the road from the george and dragon pub.easiest way to describe the location is if you look at the map of marmaris number 17 is the yavuz hotel, walking past here you come to a main road, turn right here and it is about 50 yards down the road.

to find the boat just walk along the front towards the ataturk statue, either before 10am, or after 5 pm you can,t miss it.
or if you are some distance away just ask a taxi to take you there.

hope this helps

Hi
Although we have been to Marmaris a good few times, we haven't done the Mega Diana trip yet, it sounds really good from reading the comments about it on here. We have been on Lazy Day boat trips but there's never enough sunbeds or shelter downstairs, my daughter and neice last year got badly sunburnt as there was nowhere to shelter from the sun it was too crowded, does this happen on Mega Diana or is there plenty of room, what is included in the price and what's the food like? Also, is there anywhere we can book it close by where we are staying (by Taj Mahal) and where exactly do you pick it up, is it by the Marina or the jetty close to Gima?
Thanks in advance

Hi

To book the trip you need to go to the office, which is along the front from the tai malah and then turn left at the puppy bar and you come to donatellos travel which is there office. You will be picked up from your hotel and taken to the boat for breakfast and soft drinks or tea and coffee. There is a large covered area which you can sit in. Once the boat has set sail you can have as much to drink as you would like, alcholic or soft drinks whichever you prefer.

I have a Turkish mobile number of an English girl who works on the Mega Diane, I'm not sure if I'm allowed to post it on here. I got it off someone from another forum who told me I could call her and she would arrange for us to be picked up at our hotel. If anyone wants it pm me and I'll pass it on.

Bear in mind I can only reply to pm's until the afternoon of 28th as I'll be sunning myself in Turkey.
