Merry Christmas to you all (don't like putting this on here really) but not going to be a merry one for us this year. My dad passed away suddenly on 3rd December.

hello doodles , i lost my dearly loved sister on boxing day three years ago , it devastated me as she was the mainstay of my whole family , although i still grieve for her terribly , i know in my heart that she would not want me to upset the christmas for my kids ,and grandkids ,i am truly sorry for your loss god bless you and yours.and on a brighter note to all members and moderators of h/t a very merry christmas and a guid new year from scotland ,and may your god be with you all .

Doodles i am so sorry to hear your news. Hope you can get through this period. When we lost my dad and aunt (my mum lost her hubby and sister) in the space of 6 months, the latter was 13th Dec we got to Xmas day doing the best we could. We sat down to eat and raised a toast.Myself mum and sisters all had a cry then laugh thinking of them watching us. They would have wanted us to make the best of the day for the kids sake, which we did. Hope you can make the best of the day whatever that may entail. My thoughts are with you.
