I have not been on this board for ages now, due to other commitments etc..
However we have just returned from Rhodes and I remembered a message exchange we had back I believe in October 2006 under the heading' Rhodes in Winter'. So I just wanted to mention that the former pool/bar area at the top taxi rank in Rhodes Town has now been renovated into a cafeteria area with lights, lazers, fountains, childrens play area etc. It opened a couple of days before we returned home. It looks like it sells really nice drinks and pastries etc.
Have you seen it yet?
I believe that is part Greek and part Swedish owned - it is certainly very nice. We hope to give it a try next year.
This holiday we got to see Fourni - a lovely rather isolated beach, near Monolithos, and whilst this beach was not our 'cup of tea' it was lovely to see it. Also got to see a photo of Stegna Beach in late October from a greek friend (when it was rather deserted but looked as lovely as ever).
