Hi,
Am off to Cancun in August and would really like to go to the great blue hole and any other diving spots/ places of interest in Belize and maybe have a few days in the place with some excursions. I don't really fancy booking a hotel and doing it all myself from inside the country as i don't know the place very well and i know some areas are dangerous. Can anyone tell me if you can get any good excursions from Mexico to there for a few days to check out what it has to offer? Hopefully they aren't too pricey too.

I don't think you will get a cheap flight to Belize but I do know you can take a bus there cheaply. Its two buses actually but it is a popular choice. Think it is about 7 hours travelling. We may be heading out to Belize ourselves either August or October- but I can't find a way of getting there at a decent price 
I want to do a similar sort of thing, I worked in Belize in the early 80s and I would like to go back via San Pedro, I think the bus might be the cheapest option, but it might be fun????
have again been recommended the bus by someone who works in Belize. Might be worth a go
