There is no such class of room at MGM. The basic rooms are Grand Tower and West Wing. I am guessing that they mean a West Wing as these are newer than the Grand Tower and only have king beds and not queens.

From what I have seen and read, I would never want a WW room. They are much smaller, as in almost able to touch the wall while in bed small, the window in in the wall above the head of the bed, the sink is in the room and I think the bathroom only has a shower and and opaque glass door.

One good thing about the WW rooms is that you can get to the strip really quickly as you don't have to hike through the casino.

However I wouldn't worry too much about it if you can't get it changed before you go. Just ask at check in if you can have a Grand Tower room and it shouldn't be a problem as these are normally the same price. They actually class the WW rooms as an upgrade.

Who did you book with? If it was online I might be able to look as see what they class as a Deluxe King.

Hi Luci

I am a bit confused when you say there is no such class of room at the MGM. Deluxe King is on the MGM website and is on the booking confirmation I got from Thomsons today.

It looks like they have renamed the West Wing rooms as Deluxe King rooms, but they are definitely WW rooms.

For guests looking for a more non-traditional Las Vegas experience, the West Wing sets the standard

Looking at the photos, it seems the sink is in the bathroom and not the bedroom as I thought.

The WW rooms are a lot smaller than the Tower Deluxe at 350 sqft compared to 446 sqft.

What was Grand Tower rooms are now Tower Deluxe. This may be due to the refurbishment they are currently doing of all the rooms.

We stayed in a Grand Tower room earlier month post-refurbishment and they are super! very luxurious, massive LCD TV, good bathroom and so on. Minuses: WiFi very poor signal and DON'T put your own stuff - even a bottle of water - into the minibar fridge, as they'll charge you $50 for the privelege! The resort fee ends up being quite hefty too!

Is there some sort of sign saying they'll charge you $50 for putting something in the minibar? Sounds extreme!! We've only stayed in a Celebrity Spa Suite, but I have recently looked rooms up at MGM and there was clearly some re-naming going on.

It's a good hotel. Just do your research and if you fancy an upgrade try asking for one.
