I hadn't thought about it until I read your post, but I think, looking back that it did seem to last a little longer last year!!! We have a Friday flight this year so maybe that will be the same because I don't work weekends so will be able to count the weekend after we come home too.T.

I have gone midweek for as long as I can remember so I'm not sure. I don't actually think it makes a difference because every day feels like the weekend while I am on holiday ;) and it always goes to quick anyway!

does it feel as though your on holiday longer as we will be having 2 full weekend in resort rather than just the one

:( the opposite, I find that as we are leaving before the weekend flights it looks as though we are have a shorter holiday than them.

I always feel like we have longer when we fly midweek, weird because we don't, I think it's because you get all of the weekend days x 2... :que

Mid week all the time. It lets you suss out many places etc.,before shops , supermarkets, currency exchange and other places shut down on a Saturday afternoon and Sunday. If you are into eating in popular restaurants, you have a chance to book for the weekend nights before some of the main rush.
AND when you come back there is usually an extra day or two before you go back to work. (depending on your working hours of course)

I am not sure about it feeling longer but I know its about £250 each cheaper to fly during the week on an evening flight than a day flight at the weekend with Thomas Cook to Dalaman this year. :tup :tup

as far as i can i travel midweek, not for extra weekends in resort but i take 5 or 6 day holidays every month and it minimises the number of days holiday i need to take at a time.
5 day holiday over the weekend is only 3 days holiday used up.
also, the flights tend to be cheaper midweek so i benefit there as well.

We are flying on a Wednesday this year (hubby has 3 weeks off - I always have the 6 weeks as I work in a school).
Last few years we have had to fly at weekends so that can restrict your destinations?
We opted for a Wednesday as the flight timings were better for Larnaca.
