Nope, It's still not doing it for me Helen unless maybe one of the plain colours. :(
cost wise it's the same as you would pay for acrylics around this way so If you like them I wouldnt say it's expensive .

My work colleague had a silver grey dress for the wedding and her minx was a holographic grey/silver - it looked very classy :tup

Never had Minx done on my fingernails - but have had it done twice on my toenails and it was brilliant. Lasted ages - probably about six weeks or so - so for £20, I thought it was pretty good value. I've had the metallic leopard print ones both times and loved it.

Forgive my daftness - but how do you remove it? Is there a special way, or just old fashioned nail polish remover?

I looked at the website Helen & loved the metallic nails - but thought the site a bit difficult to follow (or maybe I'm too impatient and want everything at my 'fingertips :rofl ) So what is it about these nails?

Apparently it's a sort of transfer type thing :que that they use a hairdryer/heating agent on, & it last for up to 6 weeks :tup I wuldn't want it on my finger nails, but I think it would lovely on toenails :tup

It's a special type of foil which is applied using heat - you don't use nail polish remover, but gently heat them with a hairdryer and peel them off when you want to remove them. Doesn't damage your nails at all. They look great and you don't need to worry about chipping or peeling your nail varnish when you're on holiday.

i might be sounding a bit dumb here but if you gently use a hairdryer to remove them wont sitting in the sun make them come off if you touched them?

Funnily enough, I thought that too the first time I got mine done - but no, even sitting in 40degree-plus heat in Turkey for two weeks didn't shift them!

as usual some of nails go and break right before my holidays, do you need longish nails or can they extend them like they do with acrylics?

Also I have horrible toe nails that have a lot of ridges so would I be able to get them on toes?

A cheaper alternative (and Looks very similar to minx). Paint your nails with your chosen colour (I find metalic silver or gold to be the best). Wait to dry. Paint over the top with Barry M Black instant effects nail varnish (£3.99 from boots).- Watch it all crack within seconds of applying- once dry- paint over the top with clear nail varnish! Looks brilliant!

Just had shellac gel french pedicure and just a natural pale pink to fingers as nails are different lengths. Have been googling it on ebay to buy

I agree Bellybally, my grandaughter uses the Barry M and it looks lovely, lasts for ages too.

Another fan of Barry M nail effects, colours include black, white, pink and blue. Brilliant stuff for the price, can have a different look every day!
