Anyone been here or to s'illot. Been to Sa Coma but never into Sillot. No review on HT for this accomodation so any news is helpful
Cheers
David
Just returned from 2wks in Sa Coma but visites S,illot quite a few times. It,s absoutely beautiful, far more spanish than Sa Coma and its got an Indian restaurant, fantastic Tapas Bars and a beautiful beach. The locals there are very friendly, more spanish than tourists. It,s only a 10min walkto Sa Coma, so all in all I reckon you,ll have a Fab Hol!
By the way the weather at the moment is hitting between 35/40%!!!!!
Hope that helps
Doreen
Thanks for the info. We love Sa Coma, even went in the Winter when it was closed
SIllot sounds fantastic with best of both worlds.
Cheers

Hi David. What month did you go to Sa Coma in the Winter? Which bars were open (if any!) Would you recommend visiting over Christmas? Thanks in advance. Gail
We were staying in Santa Ponsa at the jardin Playa. We had a hire car for the week and visited all of the resorts we had been to previously, Puerto Pollensa, Alcudia, Cala San Vincent, Sa Coma, Magalluf and Palma Nova. The main places open were Magaluf and Palma Nova. Santa Ponsa had a good few bars open. Sa Coma looked to be closed completely apart from Burger King and maybe a copule of bars but dont think you could stay there. We met some people we knew on the way back who had managed to stay two nights before giving in. Cant remember where they were staying. Weather was OK but pretty cold. Really good time in Palma and travelling around seeing Majorca in a very different light. If you are not bothered about the weather I would recommend Palma Nova but there is nowhere really lively, even Magaluf which is strange to see.
I would go back though.
Cheers

Hi David. Thanks for your reply. We had booked flights last for last Christmas Eve to New Years Eve but we had to cancel due to ill health. We were going to stay at the Sa Coma Playa Hotel because of the good facilities - looks like we had a lucky escape if Sa Coma closes!! We went to Palma Nova at the beginning of April and we had a good time but I do prefer the East Coast. When we arrived at Palma airport some people were going to Cala Bona on allocated on arrival so we wondered how busy Cala Bona gets over Christmas, perhaps it gets quite a few of the 'Young at Heart' brigade Happy holidays. hi just got back from s'illot today....what a lovely place, lovely places to eat, full of germans, but isnt everywhere nowadays. mirgai on the main strip in s'illot, looked quite nice from outside, a little quiet but its a bit early in the season, i guess. its about 5-8 minutes walk to the beach from your hotel which is lovely and you can walk out quite far into the sea before it gets too deep, sunbeds ar 3euros 50 and pedaloes are 10 euros for hour. There are two little shops near the beach which are well stocked and the smaller one run by scottish lady and husband and are very friendly and welcoming. any more info wanted i will try and help. we stayed at the playa moreya.
With reference to the above. I am due to go here very soon and was begining to get quite excited until I read on another similar site a couple of unvavourable comments which have made me a little nervous. can anyone put me at ease about this area/accommodation? Lisa
Going to S'illot on 6th August, really looking forward to it as I've read loads of good reviews on the resort, however, I've read some really bad ones on the accommodation - Arcos Playa Apartments - can anyone help and put my mind at rest?? One said it "needs knocked down and rebuilt"!! Help!
hi angela we have just returned from s'illiot and stayed at the playa moreya.....we met families who were staying at the arcos playa and who werent impressed by it at all. If all else fails use the pool at the playa moreya and come to their entertainment in the evening if you have children...loads of people used our hotel for the evening entertainment as its all set outside and you just got to a table...its not like you have to walk through the hotel and dont know where anything is. The arcos playa is only a few mins walk to the beach and then you're in the centre of s'illot...dont worry about it....when you see the lovely area and the beach you'll have a lovely time.
Anyone who has stayed at the Mirgai Apartments can post a review at
We'll just have to make the best of it, looking forward to the resort anyway as I've heard lots of good reports about it. The apartments will just be somewhere to sleep and get showered!
2 weeks to go!!
