Anyway, to get back to my original topic. I read on a website (that I cannot post the link for) that we have to have certificate of ownership for mobile phones. Does this perhaps just refer to Mobile Phones that we may have purchased in our airport of departure? or does it mean any mobile phone that we want to take into the country?. My son and I always take our Phones with us but have no certification to prove ownership. I'm not sure if I can quote what it says, but i'm sure if its not allowed, someone will let me know!!. it says.... "Cellular Telephones entering the country must be accompanied by a certification form showing ownership. Ownership must be documented in the passport of the owner and will be checked on entry and exit." If I need this documentation....where can I get it from?

This applies only if you want to use a Turkish sim card in your phone. You then have to register your phone, taking with you the original receipt and your passport. they then unlock the phone to enable you to use a Turkish sim card. If you just want to use your own sim card in the phone you don't have to do anything.
As has been mentioned in other similar threads, I and my mate have bought and used Turkish sims out there and never had to show any cert. of ownership or passport.

Hi Zonda, I have only just actually found where the search feature is! lol!!, I used to try searching from the top of the page and wondered why it only took me to similar to google search pages, didnt see the search facility at the bottom of the page!
