starburst,
Welcome onboard
They are standard in your ear ones. You can take your awn, as long as they aren't wireless. You'll just need an aircraft adapter.

In July we are due to fly out from Birmingham to Paphos and I am getting a bit worried about the flight.
I tend to monitor our coming flights to see if they go out on time. over the past few weeks it has been ok, however the last couple of weeks it has been delayed. Last Sunday it was over 15 hours delayed, this week, having visited the Paphos airport site it going to be delayed again. I might add on the BHX flight it just says delayed, check in. It said on the Paphos flight approx time of arrival around 3 in the morning instead of 22.10.
Also noticed it shares the same prefix as another earlier flight to Alicante.
My flight time is 15.30 on Sunday the 1st July.
I am concerned because my son has Aspergers (an ASD disorder) and gets really upset and agitated if things do not go to plan.
By the way daren't check on the return flight yet, we are going for 10 nights, so its a Wednesday evening flight. Don't they have enough planes? What makes it worse, the Monarch flight to Larnaca went out on time.

Delays happen for a whole host of reasons and are inevitable giving the complex nature of aviation. The vast majority of flights are despatched pretty much on time. It's not a question of not having enough aircraft, they have. Delays are often due to external factors rather than anything to do with the aircraft. Delays are as inconvenient for the airlines and airports as they are for passengers and strive to get aircraft and passengers away on time as much as possible. Just because a flight is delayed one week, doesn't mean it will be the next. What will be will be on the day.
EDIT: The delay was caused due to the inbound aircraft having a presurisation problem.

I have noticed that my flight from BHX to Paphos has the same flight number as the BHX to Alicante. Have been a plane spotter for a long time, never seen that before. Its a different route. or is it something to do with the actual aircraft code?
Also found out that they have put on extra flights to Alicante, perhaps they have nicked the usual plane to Paphos for that one. Feel very sorry for those people who are sitting there waiting. I just hope that isn't me and my family in July. First time with Monarch too. Noticed that a Monarch flight from Gran Canaria just arrived 19.38 and should have got back at around 0.45. Just what is wrong with Birmingham at the moment? Seems that Brum is the one that has Monarch delays, the rest of the airports are ok.

Since my last post, the flight got away at 20.50 and it was not a Monarch but a Air Finland plane, that had just done a return flight to Gran Canaria for Monarch, so it does seem that they didn't have the planes.
It's common to have flight numbers used on different flights. As long as they aren't used at the same time so they are unique, there's no reason why you can't use the flight number to Paphos one day and Alicante the next. Many airlines don't use them like that as an identifyer for a particular flight, but it does happen.

Monarch have now got their flights from East Midlands and new routes from Birmingham on sale, starting from the 31st August..
Today I've booked a flight with Monarch from EMA to Malaga in September, good daytime flights and with CC charges £307.76 for 2 paxs return, and 20 kgs allowance each.
Cheaper than the Bmibaby flight booked for next month from EMA.

First timer, we are due to fly to Corfu on Monday 28th MON1828 10.30am, does anyone know which aircraft this would be. Monarch themselves are contradicting themselves.
Cheers

Welcome onboard
I assume that's Monday 28th May? MAN-CFU-MAN (MON1828/9) should be operated by Airbus A300B4-605R. You'll find extensive aircraft information on our What Aircraft? guide (link below).

Have a great holiday
Now that Monarch have moved to T2 at Manchester, does anyone know if there is a dedicated bag drop desk to use if you have checked in online?. Thanks, we are due to fly out to LCA on 23/6/12.
Yes, no different to T1.
Thanks Sunaddict, is it separate from the other check in desks, i have'nt used the bag drop desk in T1 before so it's all new to me.
It's the first (I think) of the Monarch check in desks. There is a sign above it so easy to identify.
Thats great thanks for your assistance Sunaddict.
