Monarch Drop Ibiza ????

Morning All,

I've been waiting for Monarch to relaease flights to Ibiza from Manchester for next May. If you tried to book a flight you would just see a no availabilty message.

Now if you select Ibiza as your 'from' destination - no airports appear at all in the UK.

Can't see anything on airline or airport about the routes. Monarch have not replied to e-mails.
Anybody over in Ibiza seen/heard anything ?

2009 we are flying to Ibiza with Thomsons (package). Why not have a look at Thomson or Thomas Cook.

Thomas cook seem to have some really good prices for ibiza next summer, seem pretty low compared to previous years too, must be the credit crunch

I've been keeping an eye on Thomsonfly and Jet2 prices and hoped that they might drop when the Monarch flights came on sale for the same route.
Maybe there was just too much capacity and competition on that route or they have used the aircraft for one of the XL routes they are 'picking up'

Jet2 from Blackpool are cheap if that airport is an option for you??

Yes, it is.

About 40 minutes from us and an easy drive.

Only thing is this £10 charge per person the airport are adding from January will bump the cost. But then I suppose we will get free parking........
