It may be worth posting this question in the Tunisia forum.

Hi

I have been through the airport several times and have not seen a private lounge. The hotel i stayed in allowed me a 6pm checkout time at the cost of around 40 dinar, this was much better than getting to the airport early.

yup, have a word with reception early in the morning on your last day, they should be able to sort you a room even if you can't keep your original

Hi Folks
and thanks for your replies - I think we will probably do that, fingers crossed they will have a room free at such a busy time of the season.

Only 10 days to go - but who's counting lol

many thanks

There are no lounges at Monastir but you can always use the facilities of your hotel until it's time to leave, even if you don't want to book the use of a room. Once you have vacated your room the hotel will store your cases safely and you are then free to sit by the pool, go into the Medina or do anything else you fancy, even go into town for a last meal.

I've just realised that this info is too late for you, but I'm still posting as it may help others. Hope you have a great holiday.

From what I can remeber from March there was a large duty free shop, a couple of other shops and Cafe Ritazza.

Just got back from there Haddy. It's as Andy says but the cafe is quite expensive and only takes sterling or euros, no dinars. Duty free is priced in euros. Hang onto your receipt from d/f as a man will check it against your purchases on your way out.
I must mention that I got through immigration in 10 minutes when I arrived at 23.20 on 1st October which was very impressive! Unfortunately the baggage took another 40 minutes to arrive.

Came back yesterday, it really wasn't too bad going and coming back. Checked in and out within 1 hour both ways.
