Just wanted to reccommened the Monsenor Apartments in Playa Del Cura if you are looking for somewhere very close to Puerto Rico but a bit quieter. It is also up a tad of a steep hill but good facilities, tennis courts, 3 pools, squash. U can go for a walk onto the large hill that the apartment is built into a gives a great view over to Puerto Rico.
It is all Inclusive but no worries about the food, plus the entertaint was great both times around the main pool during the evenings.
There are bars at the bottom of the hill plus a well stocked spar shop and great bus links into Puerto Rico, and also Mogan if you fancy going the other way for a day or more.
Sorry but not sure when you were last there.

There has been a big building project over the road which is all but finished so the tour companies pulled out (too much compensation I guess). Restaurants etc have been closed for nearly a year but as I understand it ( the communidad administrators dont tell us owners much) there is the possibility that it may be taken on again soon.
They are in the process of fixing the crazy golf and redoing the pools as well as new TV and Phone lines. (TV only had about 12 channels with only 1 very fuzzy UK news channel).
Its lovely and quiet though with taxis only £3.00 back from PR - Bus is 5 minutes journey. Restaurants in the commercial centre are pretty good -Bistro 22 is excellent VFM - also the supermarket is reasonable with most of what you need.
Would recommend a stay if you can find anyone selling it.
